Alright guys, a quick question. Does anyone have the LED xenon look license plate lights? One of mine burned out and I got some (factory halogen style) for cheap at the auto parts store to tide me over. I really like the clean look of them like on the Lexus IS, especially since my xenons were just replaced. The brand im considering is PIAA xtreme white from tire rack. I just dont want to over work the wiring however this seems like a small wattage use.. Do I have anything to worry about???

 

Yes, I do. They are very simple to switch. Remove the plastic cover and just pull out the 2 factory bulbs. On ebay you can buy 2 white LED's size 2825 which is standard size. The put them in the sockets and you are good to go.

Where you able to keep the old headlights? I would buy be willing to take them off your hands.

Check out my previous post. Those license plate would look really good with some of those 194. I going to replace every 2825 with their white 194 and Im going to get a couple of those superflux 4 chip LEDs so that I can do this.

 

hey momo, their license plate lights look more blue then the white but the puddle lamp shot is it for sure, Im going to order them tonight if I dont get sidetracked and lazy lol from tire rack! and unfortunately I couldnt keep the headlights, SE makes them give hte parts back but I gladly gave them since that saved me some $$$ obv. Their asses should have covered my sensors too but see benz2jags posts for that one lol.

I purchased my LEDs from Pep Boys. Simple install but a bit tight.

Nice, Hopefully mine will be a little more white in color for my tastes, What brand are yours? I had some expierence replacing the halogen bulbs so I know the install is a 2 sec. breeze. Is your car the Quartz color? Nice tag too, if I had a 6 space tag I would have gotten that one!

 

Most white LED's have a tint of blue color. I think it looks really nice.

 

I like how bright the lights look. Is there a way to make the tail lights extra bright also?

That looks kind of big to fit in that small rectangular shaped spot for the light. Does it fit well? I'm going to purchase tomorrow.

 

Oh, and what about making the taillights brighter?

 

It is a tight fit, but I was able to put it in.

 

The S-Type stop light uses a 7225 bulb and the rear turn signals use a 7507 bulb.

Ok guys, they came today! I put them in and they look very nice. I took some before and after pictures, however most didnt turn out that great and im feeling too lazy to try to sort through them. Heres one to give you an idea though. and also showing my Learjet pride with my matching sticker I have in the back window
