Locked Out!
Played golf Monday. When I finished I was headed home when I thought I should check my bag to make certain I didn’t leave a club behind. I have 14, you know. I got out and opened the back door to take inventory in my bag laying in the back seat. I satisfied myself that everything was there. I closed the back door. I then discovered that I was locked out of the Jag, still running, parked right in front of someone’s driveway and my phone on the front seat!!!! I was a couple of miles from home and my wife couldn’t help because she can’t drive because of a back injury. My phone was locked in anyway. I lucked out because someone I knew was out walking her dog and she drove me home to get the extra fob. But even the buttons on the fob didn’t work. I had to actually insert the key and turn it to open the driver’s door.
I have never encountered security like this in an automobile. Is it necessary? Can it be reset?

Always leave the driver's window down if the car is left running with no one inside.
Check the battery voltage across the terminals with the ignition in the OFF position using a voltmeter. There should be a minimum of 12.6 volts present to avoid having electrical 'gremlins' appear.
If there is less than 12.6 volts, charge the battery for five or six hours at 2 to 5 amps and retest. Replace the battery if the voltage is still less than 12.6 volts.
