Default looking at '03 STR; things to watch for?

Hey y'all:
Been absent from here for awhile, since my X-type was totaled. But I'm looking again.
The S-Type R that I'm looking at has over 120k miles. Is that a problem with these cars? IF well maintained, how many miles can I expect from the car?

What should I be looking for, specifically?

Thanks!

120 miles is getting there in my opinion, but i dont know what work has been done to this car.
Like any car at this mileage, the usual rules apply.
Mine is an 02' model and has done 52 miles. I would keep looking.
These cars have the usual maintenance issues with nothing too extra ordinary. Over the last 28 miles I have changed the plastic radiator (did it myself; was a tough job as radiator support panel is not removable), coils, rear lwr wishbone rubbers, radiator expansion tank and gear selector, and brake pads.
Everything was either bought on fleabay or sourced wholesale; saving thousands. None of which I could have done without this forum.

I have an 02' S-Type with the 3.0. I'm at 130k miles and still going strong. It always depends on what's been done to the car and how it was driven (or flogged) before you.

Mcjaguar, As others have chimed, 120K miles on a well maintained STR should be a no-biggy. Pay no more than $9k and pick up a warranty similar to mine (coverage up to 225K miles). My 03 STR has 134K miles and will still embarass many new muscle. Even though she runs hard, the original "never rebuilt" trans. is going for a rebuild this week due to the "signs". Motor is tight and doesn't leak nor burn oil. Have her checked by a competent foriegn car mechanic.

Def go for a PPI. The only thing I would do is replace the oil in the s/c as the normal maintenance interval is 100k.

Thanks guys. I've done some KBB and NADA assessing, and the price seems to be in-line with what I've found there, considering the mileage. but what would y'all estimate a real-world value to be, assuming the car is well-maintained, no issues (cosmetic or mechanical).
I am in Utah, and we get a 4-month winter with snow, so I appreciate the comments I've found about that while surfing the forum. Any other clues on living with one of these?

That's not a bad price at all especially at the dealership.

$7K? Ok? Does she have a salvage title? Regardless, bring her to a competent mechanic to check motor and trans.. If she checks out then snap her up for $6300 (dealer paid $3500 at auction) and get to work.
