Anyone ever experienced loud squeking while turning wheel in 2006 S Type? Removed front wheel and found that sounds seem to be coming from steering shaft.. this gets very embarrassing when people are staring at how beautiful your car is until you get to turning the wheel and a loud squeking starts to happen. Thanks in advance

 

Very common issue. The squeak is from the steering rack itself, not the steering wheel or shaft.

If you can hear it OUTSIDE the car, then it is likely a ball joint.

Thanks for your input I'll start with the additive tomorrow morning since it'll be simple. The I'll try the ball joints since I noticed the noise is louder when the car is on the ground then It was when the car was jacked up

 

Update: Replaced outer tie rods because they were very worn out... nomore noise coming from behind the wheel.
