Default Lowering Springs and the C.A.T.S. system

Hi all, I have an 05 STR. My question is to those that have lowered theirs and doesn't matter what type springs used. What, if any diff have you noticed in ride quality or any issues noticed since changing over...

There are at least a couple of threads on this. Try searching so that you comments get into an existing thread. Best of luck.

bfsgross has them and there are a ton of references to this topic if you search on that and H&R

You'll have to search lowering springs. I tried search H&R and since its three letter it wont give you any results so try lowering springs.

gkt33, I lowered with H&R Sport Lowering Springs. IMO these should have come with the car. Besides the sportier look of 1 1/4" leveled lowering, the ride quality remains nice but firm. No problems with CAT struts. As advized, read the many threads on this subject.

Thanks all for the comments. I am familiar with the search engine but did not drum up the results I was looking for. I also have experience with lowering and H&R as I lowered my 7 with them. The 7's suspension though somewhat simular, does not have C A T S and I need to be sure I dont double an already firm ride because the springs will do that. A set of these springs will definately set this car off. The one thing I will not do again though...low profile tires in Louisiana equal disaster!

Had a 5, and if it is the same setup as the 7 then you will like lowering the jag much better due to the suspension type. I know with my 5 the spring was already pretty short on the macpherson strut setup, so with lowering springs it tended to ride pretty rough esp when the road was not the best. The jag will be as stiff, but will ride and track the road better imo.

With 20's on and lowered with H&R springs no complaints from me, just a more firmer ride and excellent cornering I agree tho if those roads are notorious then your screwed to the end.
