May well work. Call around, prices vary a lot. Done right they have quite a bit to do including driving the car with 2 people.

If it doesn't fix it then may be short on fluid which is more painful to check let alone fix.

Check your transmission oil cooler lines (there are two of them) at the crimped fittings where the metal piping transitions into the rubber hose section. Given the age of our cars now, a number of owners are seeing ATF weeps and leaks at these locations. Since you must remove the belly pan to inspect this area, most owners do not catch this issue until it has been ongoing for months or longer. You may be well short on ATF now as a result, and that could be causing your lurch issue....

Sounds very much like classic lurch. Whether a reflash will fix it permanently or not is uncertain. Somes car respond very well, other do not.

I have this issue on my 2010 XFR, most places I've talked to are saying the Mehcatronics need replacing? I dont want to jump into that and potentially messing things up if thats not whats needed.. Hoping to find someone around LA familiar with these issues..

This is not the XF forum so it's doubtful that more than a few will know to what extent the S-Type knowledge applies. It may well not, especially as the XF was introduced after the lurch was known and fixed on the S-Type.
