2000 s-type 3.0 can a bad egr feedback sensor cause ruff engine performance. What happens when an oxygen sensor is bad.

 

Depends which O2, you have 4.

Don't guess - read codes and also the fuel trims.

You need ALL the sensors and actuators working properly. It's expensive to guess what isn't and replace.

On yuor engine usually it's the hsoe elbow or a misfire (coil). The OBD readings will normally reveal all.

By all means read up on here on those usual issues.

 

+1 on revealing the OBD codes. A bad EGR or O2 sensor will certainly flag a code.

 

Thanks for your help. I will buy a code reader and get back to this problem right now I am reading all the new member material so I can be a better forum member in the future. I have made a lot of mistakes by not reading it.

 

No worries on not following forum protocol.

Any big box auto parts stores will read the codes for free here ie. Auto Zone, Discount Auto, PEP Boys etc....
