Default Mysterious Sunroof

The sunroof has a mind of its own. Its been opening after the car has been turned off. Just the sunroof. No other window.

I thought my wife was leaving it open but it happened to me so now I believe her!

Yikes 01S!!!

Next you'll be telling us all those corner rubs, bumper dings, bent wheels, and curb rash (and other manner of evidence the missus has been driving) REALLY did occur whilst it was parked at the mall!

I'm going to try this motor sync reset procedure I found while searching the sunroof problem. Wish me luck!

If the reset doesn't work - and maybe even a battery disconnect is worth a try - then maybe there's a chafed wire somewhere, but it sounds unlikely.

The car wouldn't start this morning. click, click, click is all I got and stange instrument panel readings I figured it was the battery so I jumped it off. It jumped off just fine. I went to the local auto parts store and purchased a new battery $160 plus tax. Put it in and now everything is fine again. No more mysterious sunroof (so far) will keep you all posted if it comes back.

Glad it's sorted...but that's an expensive way to accomplish JagV8's batt-disconnect!

Glad to hear you got it all sorted!

Oh and did you ever get that scan tool - if so add your name to my list if you want.

Take care,

George

Where exactly is this secret database of Icons all you guys use???

And it will be 53 here tomorrow. Perfect weather to clean up the car without breaking a sweat

If it were approaching 80, I'd have to get my buddy over to get the roof off the SL

Take care,

George

Rick I had to go into the user CP, options, and change my preference at the bottom to "advanced editor" I only had the basic one, and nothing showed up!!

I've been using the forum for years and never even thought to ask about it before LOL!

I guess this icon sums it up:

Take care and thanks for getting the ball rolling LOL!!!!
