nav black screen (50-51) - Diag Pin 1971

hi to all of you and many thanks for this useful forum.

i have an Stype 2.7d Year 2005.

I HAVE brik my nav screen that now is BLACK in this way:

1) enter the diag menu with code 1971 ( more option then with code 917)
2) by mistake i press a button "software update by Compact Flash" or
someting similar
3) display enter in update mode with a never seen update bar - nothing happens.
4) so after some minutes i switch off so now my nav screen is black, erro 50-51 is on climate display !!

I have already know the procedure of fix this problem by nav dvd to reflash firmware at start up, but the problem is :

my dvd reader did not READ dvd maps from about 2 years now.

so there is no way to fix firmware without have a good dvd reader ?

as i'm not interesting in navigation module because of i use modern
Android TomTom, i would not BUY a new dvd reader ONLY for fixing firmware!

Any of you have and advice?

Ideas:

Clean reader.

Buy a used reader, use it, resell it. fleabay or a scrappy etc - maybe eurojags

Maybe meet someone and borrow their reader but you may struggle to find anyone willing.

i have already tried with "CD cleaner" the special cd audio with clean piece.
but nothing to do, "the dvd is not map one" error message both with original dvd and with DVD+R DL.

there is something that i can do to clean better?

there is some aftermarket mod to change DVD readr with USB reder or compact flash reader?

BLACK SCREEEN on my jaguar s tyep R. Please help me out in sending the software!!! i went in to hidden menu and pressed update by mistake, nothing happened and i have stopped the engine. After 2 minutes when i have turned back on BLACK DISPLAY with 50 and 51 codes on small screen !!!! please help guys ...i just resolved the problem with bank 1 and 2 lean codes and now look!!!!!
