Default Need help with colour coding.

Before I begin, I am fitting a aftermarket head unit in the 1999 S Type 3.0.
This has the Motorola Star Tac phone in and has the controls on the steering wheel.

This car is fully loaded apart from the rear blind.

Anyway I want to know what are the colour of the wires for this model before I begin..

Please I know about the adapters, I already have one. I am ruling out a few things and the stereo needs to have a adapter made up for it to fit onto the adapter... so hence the need for the colour coding.

PS should I bin the old head unit with CD player and car phone etc.. or what? the phone works.. but it will need the screen sorting as its difficult to read... due to age.. not broken.

or should I keep it and sell it on?

anyway I have some large plans for this car.. fingers crossed..

It's not rubbish. It's great. Well worth any amount of hassle you may suffer unless you have deep pockets to afford a dealer.

Or, go online and pay to use Jag's TOPIx or such as AllData.

look I am not trying to debate JTIS .... or how good or bad it is... I am telling you that the cd I bought is rubbish.. might be a knock off or something.. bought it from that auction site!!!

I am in humberside East Yorkshire.. if you get a minute call 07789501189 from your profile your not far!

I am not asking for you to do anything but tell me where the donkeys I am going wrong... I am using vista and the upload doesnt appear right.

do I have to upload multiple things? I am really baffled by this cd. and yes I am computer literate!

really not picking a fight.. please its hard to express what you mean by forums at times.
anyway mods dont remove my number its fine... many thanks Jon.

You can download it or get the data any of several ways such as those I posted. You could also probably get all you need from people who've done similar changes before if you read their posts. I've provided plenty of free help to let you help yourself so please do so.

Spending the time to download JTIS if your CD is bad will be well worth the effort if you do any other work on your car.
