Default need help no sound

My stereo is getting power and operating, however there is no sound out of the speakers. Also, the rear parking assist does not sound. I assume this is related to the speakers also.
thanks
steve

Year / make / model

Alpine stereo or not?

Regular radio or nav screen?

Take care,

George

First thing to check is if the stereo Amplifier in the trunk is getting power.

Check the fuse it's in the trunk fuse box, pull out the trunk carpet and you will see it to the top right of the spare tire.

See attached PDF's for details.

Take care,

George

In mine, and probably this car as well, the reverse parking aid has its own speaker (on the rear shelf, IIRC) so you'd be looking for two faults, I think. Common fuse? Relay? Harness?

Can you check the harnesses of both for power and continuity to ground using a multimeter.

I can give you pin information and wiring colors with the diagrams if you need them.

Take care,

George
