Go buy an S-Type R.

You're NOT going to swap it into a 2000 S-Type.

EVERYTHING is different. Engine, suspension, transmission, electronics, EVERYTHING forget it.

Get a used 4.0 swap it and call it a day. I might have a line on a motor that needs head gaskets (No biggie when it's out of the car) in Texas.

Let me know if you're interested and I'll make a call for you.

Take care,

George

Do yourself a favor search for a 2000-2002 Lincoln LS 3.9 V8.

Same EXACT motor, but the wreckers don't charge the "Jaguar" Tax.

Take care,

George

So the 4.2 won't work with the 2000 tranny? As far as suspension, I have the sport suspension with adjustable bilstein shocks. I'm hesitant to get the 4.0 again because of all the problems I had with it as well as the problems people I know have had with theirs.

Correct, it won't work. The car had a MAJOR redesign when the 4.2 came in.

Stop. Rebuild what you have or buy a new car. Don`t go looking to spend money for nothing.

2000v8, If ya love her that much, pop in another 4.0 or 3.9 Lincoln LS. Better yet, as others here have suggested...do an STR. Much more fun.
