New brake out box testing for no communication with ecm
Hi everyone
I decided to purchase a second brake out box this time with pin numbers you can select and voltage
so now not sure where to go
Here are the results
ignition on
Pin 2 sae J1850 bus + 04. 0 volts
Pins 4 & 5 ground all good
pin 6 can hi 04.4 volts
Pin 7 k line iso914 11.8 volts when diagnostic scanner coneting
Pin 10 sae J1850 bus - 05.2 volts but led light flashing green and red still trying to make sense of that
Pin 14 can lo 02.7 volts
Pin 16 power 13.1 volts
These pin led lights do flash showing they are communication
But not sure if pin 15 iso914 L line is meant to have any kind of voltage
so with hi can bus voltage i think there could be another module failing
I could be wrong as electrical systems are my down fall
I have tested the Fuel injection plugs they have power
throttle body 4 wire concter plug has 5 volts
maf sensor plug has 12 volts
Crankshaft sensor nothing even when you try to crank engine
Pats when you turn Ignition on blinks once only
if anyone has any ideas of what to test or even start disconnecting different modules one at a time would be a good idea or is that a waste of time
Thanking you

PATS sounds to be happy. Quite a surprise in the circumstances.
Both CAN (6&14) & SCP (aka PWM, pins 2&10) are probably sending packets all the time (well, quite often) the ignition is on. At least Keep Alive kind of messages.
K-line is pulled up (via 510 ohms) to batt+
11.8V is lowish but isn't low enough to prevent comms
