New jag owner well new to me
Hello all I got on trade a 2005 s-type 3.0. it didn't turn over when I got it. Found out the fuel pump and the battery were bad so I installed new and at first all was good now when I get in I have no power to my dash except the airbag lights and radio. I can't find anything wrong and can't find anything online that points me in the right direction on what to do.

Use a smart phone with the Torque app to connect to the vehicle's PCM via the OBD port with a Bluetooth interface to read any stored or pending DTCs.
With the ignition in the OFF position, what is the voltage across the battery terminals when checked with a voltmeter?

It is literally a brand new battery. I work for O'Reilly auto parts and made sure it was fully charged before I brought it home. And as for connecting to the obd port via Bluetooth how do you do that?

Welcome to the forum.
I am sure one of your cohorts at O'Reilly has a OBD II code reader. The OBD II port is underneath the drivers side kick panel. You may have a battery drain that flattened your brand new fully charged battery. Heed NBCats advice check battery voltage across terminals.

Also check your battery terminals are tight, clean and making good contact. Check the main earth where it attaches to the car body is good too.

In the meantime I'd thought I'd try your recommendation for the 'OBD2 ELM327 WIFI V1.5 Professional Diagnostic Device for Car Truck Auto IOS Test' link you sent.
Seller won't post here and there's heaps of these things for sale..
I've found a similar product with a local here; https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/36396246...Bk9SR9zd15_FYQ
The seller's offering either a Wi-Fi or Bluetooth version. Which would you suggest?
Also do you recommend the 'Torque Pro' app that's a few dollars or the free 'Torque Lite' app download?
These things work with the X202? Interphase connection for a RHD vehicle?
Cheers.
