Hi, Im new to the forum but have been around Jags since I can remember. I've owned an black w red onterior XJS w a 350 Chevy conversion back in 2012. I recently purchase a 2000 4.0 S-type. I've always wanted one but never came across the right color combination. Mechanically, she needed a tune up, couple ignition coils, transmission flush, full suspension, brake rotors/pads, bank 1 cat/upper 02 and I was able to do most of the work. She now needs the heater control valve, a/c recharged, in dash screen, and maybe one day that cracked demister grille in the center by the windshield.

And it probably needs the chain tensioners & guides replacing to avoid engine destruction! See previous threads.

 

When I first purchased her, I thought so too! Because bank one was giving me misfires up and down. Had it checked out and the upgrade was already done.
