Hi JagV8,

I see it on the electrical diagrams, but cannot physically find on the car. I did find an IPB that showed it just above the differential on the underside of the canister, but I can't seem to locate it on my 2005 S-Type V8. Also, the parts listing in previous message does not have a number for it which makes me believe it may be a part of the canister or some other larger part in the Evap system.

Any help locating the part and part number would be appreciated.

Thanks,
Jeff

I'm not NAS so have no way to find it. Most people are NAS, including the dealers, parts places, techs. You may have to do some leg work...

NIXX,

Why didn't smoke come out of the canister if the 'crack' was what was causing the CEL to come on?

Can anyone upload a repair Manuel on the gas tank and fuel pump for my car? I have replaced the entire assembly under the hood and replaced the gas cap with still no success. I am now looking at the tank and the pump. If anyone can help I will definitively appreciate it. Thank you

We have 2 documents everyone should get.

JTIS-Jaguar Technical Information Service-This is the shop manual.
Free and listed in the forum stickies. If you can't get the download to work PDF versions are on EBay for about $10.

JEPC-Jaguar Electronic Parts Catalog-This is the exploded parts catalog that the dealer parts guys use to find and order part numbers. Again a search on this forum will lead to a free copy. I find this more useful than the JTIS.

One last tip; Jaguar goes by the last 6 digits in your VIN for parts. Much more than the year and model so always provide those numbers when ordering parts.
