I don't know why it's only now - at post #20 - that you mention those other problems.

I'm now out of enthusiasm. Good luck with the BMW dealer.

Sorry... That I haven't said. I am very angry and confused,how something like this could happen. I am not telling that this is the cat problem only if it isn't what then!? And please confirm me what IF and what if ISN'T?

The "broken" or rotten egg odor from the exhaust is generally indicative of a bad cat. But that may not be all of the problems.

In my NON-tech view, it is really starting to sound like a plugged up cat.

BTW many many years ago, I did indeed punch out the ceramic inside a cat actually 2 cats, that was back in 1984, the vehicle ran great (but then again it was a GM) I kept that car for many years after with no related problems. Now a days I don't think I would do such a thing! The electronics have come along way since '84.

Seems to me you've decided it's the cat instead of looking in detail at the data and finding out why the bank is running badly (which may well be that its fuelling is wrong). BTW, wrong fuelling will in time burn out a cat.

It were CAT's!!!

Now car is running great... Removed ceramic compound in both cat's...
