So, how different are these parts for 2005 MY 3.0 engines?

Very different. 2002/2005, 4 wire coils/2 wire coils, spark plugs, lower intake seals 2/ versus 6, various vacuum lines, no "infamous lower rubber elbow" on '05's. There are more differences than there are commons.
