I have a 2000 3.0 S-Type with CATS and all original suspension. I plan on basically doing a major suspension overhaul.

My plan is to (hopefully) get the strut-coil spring assembly that obviously supports CATS. I have replaced springs in other vehicles using spring compressors and I’m not a big fan. So I’d much rather get the assembly if possible.

So here are my questions:

1) When I was looking at parts, I was seeing the assembly with adaptive damping system (ADS). So does ADS mean this is for CATS?

2) I’ve used rockauto.com for my other vehicles so I went there to look. They don’t seem to have the strut-coil spring assembly with ADS (assuming ADS is for CATS). What other online vendors sell these (if they exist)?

3) Rockauto.com does sell Bilstein Struts with Electronic Suspension and LESJÖFORS Coil Springs with Adaptive Suspension. So if I cannot get the assembly, are these what I need for CATS?
