If you are going with an after market head unit you can check with crutchfield.com to see if they have an adapter to butt up against the stock wiring. If not you can splice the aftermarket harness into the stock for power, ground and acc but for the speakers you might get stuck having to re-wire each one. That's a fun job...

Well if you have a stock amplifier, you will probably need to bypass it all together.

The hardest part is removing the door panels and snaking the wires thru - but if your car is anything like the x-type getting the wires thru the pillars is next to impossible. It would be easier to pay someone, if you can find someone to do the job.

What kind of radio did you get?

here are some links that may help you out. Some have the double din fascia adaptor I think the last link is what you are looking for. If you dont have a Alpine amplified audio system. I have to see if i have a link for this one site that had everything for the raido that you could want, but my pc got damged. I have to see if i have it on a CD back up. let me know if that helps you up.

Why not just get a Garmin or similar type unit? They're pretty cheap and you can use it for a variety of vehicles. One downside is that you have to hide it or risk getting your car broken into.
