Hi guys !

After looking for hours how to read the abs codes for my 2002 S-TYPE without having to spend a lot of money (got the Traction control fault + abs light)

I got an ELM327 off Amazon and using ScanXL Pro with the Ford Diagnostics Enhancement Add-on, I was able to do it.

I had to say my car was a 2002 Ford Taurus 3.0L to benefit from enhancements and ta-da ! I was able to read the C**** codes

Thought this might be useful to some people so decided to share

Did you repair your car this way? I would be worried about using the wrong car to define the codes until we know they are the same.

What did it all cost? A Mongoose JLR with SDD/IDS is probably cheaper!

I'm sure people already know AutoEnginuity has a jag-specific add-on, too, that does this and more but SDD/IDS is the official tool.

 

What does P0327 code mean?
What does P1111 mean?

PLEASE GIVE ME SOME INFORMATION ON THESE TWO CODES.

The p1111 is ok and normal.

The other, I am sorry I don't know off the top my head. My search button seems to be missing.

 

Even Google can tell you P0327 is probably a knock sensor problem. Go have a look.

 

If I had to guess, you have an ATE brand control module on your ABS unit. It is probably a bad module like a lot of Volvos that I have repaired (or had repaired).


The codes that you are chasing are likely ghost codes and you can't diagnose anything until you get that module ruled out as a problem. Send the module out for repair, then see what you have.


When you reinstall, drive the car a few feet and the light will go off if that was the problem.
