Default Recommandations for some audio functionality upgrades ?

Hey guys ! Getting into some works for the summer, mostly ball joints seals / suspensions for the french inspection... That not very fun so I would like to treat myself too

Would you have any recommandations for parts / DIY works, for my 2001 V8 4.0L
- I wanna have a bluetooth connection
- I would like to have a usb for charging phones (cigar lighter gets really hot and then I get an airbag light on the dashboard - no thanks !)

- For the bluetooth, I found a couple dedicated parts that are out of stock here in Europe, like this one : https://jagaux.com/product/jagaux-bl...ype-1999-2001/
Should I maybe google something for a Ford radio ? Some plugs for a Fiesta radio looked similar ? Is there a denomination for the plug I can look for ?

- For the usb charging cable, probably somehing DYI. Maybe I should remove the cigar lighter assembly and plug something there (and hopefully it won't discharge the battery if done properly)

Thanks a lot

Did you check your tensioners & guides (for the chain-driven engine)?

tensioners exploded last year, changed the kit and is now running fine Did some work on the automatic transmission as well

and sorry if my question was way too long, but I’m looking for quick / easy audio upgrades now, especially a way to get bluetooth connection

I use this https://www.incarconnections.co.uk/j...x001-ipod.html
It plugs into the cd player port at the back of the radio. Sound is pretty close to cd quality and a lot better then fm transmitters or Bluetooth imo.

Thanks for your answers !

As regards to jagdroids, it looks really cool but I’m not ready for that kind of investment…

as for the aux connector, thanks a lot !! But like others it seems out of stock :/

Is there a connector name / type I could work with to find compatible models, or is the jaguar radio cd connector one of a kind ?

I guess the other solution is to read the electrical schematics to find where the aux cables and power input actually are in the CD connector !

You can try these guys. I bought from the first link but worth a shot if you want to keep the factory look but still get Amazon music or Spotify working without a transmitter. https://caraudiocentre.co.uk/product...OURNOqstzkgigN

Don’t forget one of these before you install everything https://www.ebay.ca/itm/275391753116...Bk9SR7Kq4ObHZQ
the rca that comes with it is very short and has an elbow. At least mine did. I ran mine through the drawer beside the radio. No drilling required.

Thanks a lot ! Those are actually pretty cheap
It also lists Ford compatible models which is a way to continue searching !

its a shame that there is no updated version that would propose some more features (like power, which has to come out of there too, to power the cd charger)

it also means I’m gonna have to find a way to fix that drawer ahah, it doesn’t stay closed without help anymore..

I leave my drawer open most of the time anyways. Matter fact I can’t remember the last time I closed it.

Auxiliary 3.5mm replaces cds imo. Anything on cd is on Amazon music, Spotify or YouTube. If it isn’t just rip it to your phone with a pc
