Default Retro fitting Projector lights

Hello Everyone
I just wanted to let you know and hopefully prevent you from making my mistake.
I bought a second set of lights with the intention of upgrading them installing them and then sell my old lights. All the light adjuster components were broken once I had removed the lenses. I sent off for the set of light adjusting parts advertised on a lot of sites like eBay. They say it contains all you need, NO it doesn't ,there is an essential part missing from the set and it is the ball joint holder clipped onto the left hand edge of the main beam H3 casing. Make sure you check before buying these kits or like me you will be out of pocket and disappointed .

Be aware of the new MOT laws regarding fitting of after market headlight kits. Some of them are now not legal.

Yes thank you I was aware of the laws, there are a lot of kits and bulbs that are not legal . As a novice on these matters it seems to me not only are bulbs being sold" brighter the better"not taking into account how the bulb react with the refletive lens and may cause oncoming vehicles problems and so I asked my mechanic who is an MOT inspector to fit and align for me .

If you changed from non-projector to projector be sure to tell your insurer in order to stay insured as required by law.

You may well need also to fit powerwash for the headlamps - check the law carefully.

The laws are not as simple as "it passes an MoT"...

Insurance what's that lol. Called Police and insurance
police say if work carried out to current legislation no problem
insurance said as long as headlight unit was original type and not being changed there is nothing else to do. They don't even want proof of qualified mechanic fitting them.
Anyway this has gone right off my reason for posting, I was just trying to make you aware of the replacement adjuster kits. As long as you remember if you're driving through worcester and someone dazzles you, it won't be me.
