Default RPM’s bouncing/ misfires 2004 s 4.2

Anyone seen this? (Video)

At a constant speed under a little load my s type drops rpms and recovers continuously. Thought I had a transmission issue, but the transmission shop saw codes for misfires on every cylinder of the engine.

Took it to a shop who changed out plugs and 2 coil packs, picked up the car and it didn’t fix the issue. Thinking MAF? If I’m going to have shops throw parts at things, I may as well start changing out parts myself and save the labor and markup.

If anyone has seen this or has any advice I appreciate it.

I would stop changing parts - it gets expensive and if you happen to use non-OE parts you can make things worse.

Doubt it's the MAF. Leave it be.

Start with OBD. I take it you have (pending) P1000? If so, which OBD monitors have not set?

Use OBD to have a look at all the (not many) sensors you understand, for plausibility.

Check fuel trims - see the many posts.

There's a TC (torque conv) issue that might be the revs thing. Would not affect misfires let alone cause codes for them.

With codes, be sure to quote them (Pxxxx etc).
