If memory serves, I believe it does up until 2005 MY.

I believe up to the US 2003 MY has the lower elbow, 2003 onwards does not have the lower intake vacuum elbow.

DTC P0430 refers to the Bank 2 catalyst, which usually indicates damage due to repeated misfiring on that bank of cylinders. In my experience, when P0420 or P0430 are present, the catalyst for that respective bank must be replaced once the misfire condition has been corrected.

DTC P0455 can be caused by a broken pipe or loose connection. Might also be simply caused by the fuel tank cap not being fully tightened or the seal on the cap being faulty.

Perhaps the throttle body is just keeping time to the music.

Are you noticing any problems while driving? Any fault codes? What led you to observe the throttle plate while flooring the gas pedal? In other words, is there more to the story?

Try this calibration procedure and see if it helps:

I wouldn't especially worry about such behavior with the engine off. Doesn't seem right, but at the same time, you're putting the system in an abnormal scenario of key on but engine off and then holding the gas pedal all the way down. The true test is how it behaves under normal conditions.

+1
Unless there's a fault of some sort what is the point of the video?
If there is a fault - what is it?

So a new thread but the same problems? Not great,

You left that other thread hanging with codes - what did you do to fix them?

Also with parts which were or were not fitted?

Have you now got P1111 or if not which monitors are not complete?

What do fuel trims show?

Hi trycons,

I have merged your new thread with your old thread. Please do not start any new threads on this same issue. It is most helpful to have all of the information and previous posts in the same thread to avoid confusion and duplicate effort on the part of other members who want to help.

Cheers,

Don

Ah, now we are getting somewhere.

As JagV8 has suggested, what are the fuel trims?

Also, I would recommend checking the fuel pressure. This requires two things:

1) First, what does your scanner shows for fuel pressure?

2) There is no guarantee the scanner value is accurate, so please also connect a mechanical test gauge to the injector rail. This second step is very important, in case the pressure sensor is feeding bad information to the computer. In that situation, the poor computer may be responding as programmed to what seems like a good value.

1) Fuel pressure is about 378 kPa
2) Same about 378 kPa

Are you sure you don't have a plugged catalytic converter?
You can remove the O2 sensors and start and drive the car a bit to check.

As I asked...

You left the thread hanging with codes - what did you do to fix them?

Also with parts which were or were not fitted?

Have you now got P1111 or if not which monitors are not complete?

BTW it can be thousands of things so guessing tends to be very wasteful.

Have you done the plug, coil, manifold gasket replacement? If so what codes are showing now, if not what's the plan?

Thanks for humoring me and checking the fuel pressure.

One more thought on those same lines. Was that reading taken at idle? Maybe try watching the scanner while trying to accelerate, when the fault is active. Just a thought, free to check. Perhaps the fuel flow is partially restricted. You can get normal pressure when demand is low (idle or coasting, for example), but it drops off during high demand.

With P1000 you know one or more OBD monitors is unhappy (unset) - which ones?

Still need the fuel trims!

I am bored asking the same things time after time.
