S-Type 2003 3.0 Big Question RESOLVED
At some time you must have cleared the codes - but haven't managed to fix all their causes.
You can get Catch-22 that way, where it can no loger flag codes because it can't set the monitors and can't set the monitors because it has something(s) wrong but isn't sure what.
Did you change the cat. conv to fix the P0430?
Your trims may well mean there's an exhaust-related or EVAP-related issue.

IDS/SDD & WDS are not easy to use - you would normally be an experienced mechanic and go on a training course - and not especially cheap.
You can use them to wreck your cars computers. If you get either tool do not program anything!!
You look to be having trouble with quite simple tools so this looks an unwise direction.

First of all, please use your User Control Panel to add the year, model and engine information of your Jaguar to your signature line so others won't have to guess. I had to go to your public profile to learn that you have a 2003 S-Type 3.0L.
Secondly, download the document at the link below, which has definitions of the Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTCs), including your misfire codes, plus lists of possible causes for each code that will help you and your mechanic diagnose the problems. Start with the possible causes of P0300.
Jaguar S-Type DTC Summaries 2003
The fact that all of your misfires are in Bank 2 suggests a problem that affects only that side of the engine. A couple of easy tests would be to pull the ignition coil on cylinder 2 and check for oil in the spark plug well from a leaking plug tube seal. If you see oil, replace the cam cover gasket, spark plug tube seals and spark plugs. Note that the Jaguar 3.0L V6 engine is an upgraded version of the excellent Ford/Mazda Duratec (initially designed by Porsche and Cosworth), and the correct spark plugs are Ford Autolite, not NGK as used in the Jaguar V8s
If no oil is evident, check the supply voltage to the ignition coils and fuel injectors on cylinders 2, 4 and 6. You can download the Electrical Guide here:
Jaguar S-Type Electrical Guide 2003
Here's the diagram that shows the cylinder numbering on your engine (the arrow indicates the front of the engine):

Don

Hi trycons,
Thanks for reporting back!
You only had misfires on Bank 2... Was the cat on that side clogged up? Why did the Bank 1 cat have to be replaced?
Cheers,
Don
