Easy once you know, maddening if you don't. I like explicit instructions, don't you? Passenger side: Starting toward the outside of the seat, slide your thumb up into the tight space between the seat bottom and the floor. Now slide it toward the center until you hit a hard protrusion, about a foot from the end of the seat. Now pull your thumb forward to find the end of the lever, then push it toward the center - that side of the seat should release (pull cushion up). Driver's side: Same deal, but start toward the center of the seat and use your fingers instead of your thumb. Slide out toward the end of the seat until you find the lever, then push it toward the outside. Make sure you get out toward the front end of each lever - if too far back it won't be movable. Use the blade of a screwdriver if either lever is sticky/hurts your digits. I expected each lever to release toward the center, but they don't; they both move toward the driver's side to release. This is for an '08.
