Ive began ordering parts for my upcoming project on my 02 3.0. Replacing IMT 0-rings and replacing a leaking valve cover gasket. While the car is apart im going to replace the rubber elbow under the intake as suggested by Rick, as well as replace the spark plugs, coils, fuel filter and air filter.

ive gotten my o-rings, upper and lower intake gaskets, valve cover gaskets, and iridium spark plugs so far.

my question is, are there any suggestions as to what coils to go with for best performance? In Ricks post about 90k maintenance he states he got coils from rock auto, but which brand gives the best performance or doesnt it really matter? It doesnt seem as though msd or related companies make replacement coils for the jag.

 

also what should spark plug gap be set at?
