Nonsense. Just don't push too fast, being careful of the seals. Easy job...

I opened the bleeder valve and attached a small plastic tube into an empty soda bottle and THEN compressed the cylinder with a "C" clamp. I heard from a mechanic that there is some kind of one-way valve in the line that could be damaged if you force brake fluid back up the line by compression. Another reason for bleeding it off is that you can replace old fluid with new (newer is always better than old brake fluid). I also read that same tech manual that said to discard the bolt...what for? So I didn't. Everything is fine so far.

Good luck!

The bolt isn't torque to yield. They say replace it so that they sell a bolt. Push the pads back in slowly. There is no one way valve. If there was - you'd put your brakes on and they would stay on.

You are 100% right. Fluid can only go one way, thats it.

11year old thread for a different car and different issues!

I very much doubt yours has Brembo brakes and even if it has it does not need Brembo pads (or discs).

Whatever is wrong is less than clear.

The wear on the disc is not like the previous disc the inner circle has wider space and outer edge has no space
