S type intake manifold gaskets query
Hi, I looking at replacing the sparks plugs on my V6 and understand that I need to replace the intake manifold gaskets. I am a bit confused over the terms used for Upper and lower manifold gaskets. Is there a difference in height when the manifold come off? Should I be ordering a special set of 2 gaskets or Upper and Lower? Part numbers would help? Cheers, Wayne
Be sure and do everything needed at once. The V-6 has its own unique set of problems but you can knock all them out in one service.
Several very good threads on this forum. Also look at the sticky stuff up top.

When I changed the spark plugs for my friend, I just changed out the upper gaskets. I used the Felpro brand ones. I got them from Amazon but I am sure your local auto store will carry them. I chose the Felpro ones cause they were less expensive and a few fellow forum members recommended it.
You just need the upper intake manifold gaskets but some would argue to replace the lower while your in there. I would highly recommend replacing your valve cover gaskets and IMT o rings while you have it apart. If you got the money I would replace the coils too.
On your 99 MY I would replace the very well known vacuum rubber elbow that splits under the lower manifold which would include replacing the lower intake gaskets as well.
As mentioned above, valve cover gaskets, IMTs, spark plugs etc...
