S-Type radio draining battery
I hope I am doing this thread in the right place. Anyways I have a 01 S-Type and I figured out that there was a drainage of the battery from 2 locations. It is fuse #18 (Radio, cellular phone, navigation) and fuse #20 (Generic Electronic Module (GEM), air conditioning, instrument cluster, rear electronic control module) and both fuses are from the passenger compartment fuse box. The problem is when I turn off the vehicle I hear a ticking noise coming from the speakers. I've had my battery die a few times. I've looked up some info on it and possibly something could be wrong with my GEM but I have no idea what it is or how to fix it. Can someone PLEASE help me out I've tried for months and can't figure it out. Thanks for all your time guys, hope to hear from ya'll soon.

People may not be able to diagnose your issue over the Internet it seems, thought I'd reply to ya since no one else has. Looks like you may have to bite the bullet and take it to a competent mechanic to diagnose what the issue is. If you do, try to get them to agree to look into the issue and if they can't find the problem, you don't pay. Beware, don't let them spend hours and hours on the issue to finally find and fix it and then hand you a 12 hour labor bill to fix a "frayed wire". Also, try to find one that's trustworthy. Just finding a "burnt looking wire" and repairing it don't mean "your problem's fix" if you, the owner, can't verify it is in fact fixed. JbB
