Default S-Type 4.2(V8) Vs. XF 4.2(V8) NOT STR,XFR, or 3.0

I was beside of an XF the other day for about 10 miles from stop light to stop light and started thinking which one is faster. They both have the same engine and drive train but the XF's Curb Weight is 4306 and the S-Type is 4075. I found a great site for the comparison but no 0-60 or ¼ mile head to head comparisons.

2006 3.0 0-60---7.7 sec.

2007 4.4 0-60---6.4 sec. n/a

Source: Cars.com Los Angeles region. I just took a sample of two cars from the for sale listings, have no idea on the accuracy.

4.2 Vs. 4.2

S-Type 4.2 2007 Review says 0-60 is 6.2

A nice S-Type will cost you less than $20K and possibly less than $15K.

A nice XF will cost you more than $50K and possibly more than $60K.

Easy decision in my household....
