Default S-Type yellow/red underseat electrical connector

I have two plugs under the driver's seat, one is grey and the other is yellow. I suspect the yellow one has something to do with air bags.

It has a red dohickey that can be separated from the plug once disconnected.

A friend of mine took the plug apart and I am now trying to reconnect this plug. I have tried for about a half hour to find a place for the red piece of plastic but no joy so far.

I am guessing the red part is to prevent an accidental disconnect of the yellow plug which would then deploy the air bags.

If anybody has a picture of just how this plug goes to together I'd be very appreciative

Have a look under the other seat for comparison.

Hi Jim,

I knew that!

Anyways, I finally, after another half hour of fiddling, tried running the red locking device in from the other side of the plug and hooray, it worked. . Now if I can just get the kinks out of my back . . . All of this because I was unaware of the second fuse in the trunk that controlled power to the seat modules. Steep learning curve.

Thanks Jim
