Sat Nav software reprogram file - for error 50 + 51 JTP 1072_1

Hi, wonder if you can help, we also are in the Uk and have just imported an 2002 s-type from Japan. Bought the uk/Europe disc, but it won’t load. Do we also need to go to the Local Dealer for firmware update and if so, do you mind us asking how much it costs.
Thanks in anticipation.

It was very good at the time, but it is a bit dated now with the most recent map update in 2011 and no trafic info.
A modern sat-nav is far better.
But that said it does work ok in the UK, I have used it a couple of times in the past year and I guess it is good to have it working rather than faulty.

Question about the 51/50 error.
Hello Everyone,
I recently purchased an updated Jaguar GPS DVD from eBay and after a few attempts at installing it, I also go the 50 51 error. I like many of you called everyone and searched online for countless hours looking for a quick and inexpensive fix.
I decided to look through the updated DVD disk and simply extract the LOADING.KWI file and burn it to a regular DVD-R disk and put it into the unit, what's the worst that could happen.
After being quoted almost $4300 from Jaguar to fix the unit, and another $2100 from a Jaguar specialist. I am extremely happy to report that a $.15 DVD-R fixed my issue.
I am attaching the LOADING.KWI file to this post in case anyone else has this issue.
Simply extract the LOADING.KWI file from the ZIP file and burn it onto a REGULAR BLANK DVD-R at the slowest your DVD will allow, mine was 4x. Make sure that you "FINALIZE" the DVD (at least in my program that's what it's called).
I turned the car on to eject the DVD that was in the unit and inserted the DVD that I just burned with only the LOADING.KWI file.
I then turned the car off and took the key out for about 30 seconds and turned the car back on and left it on.
I went to go make myself a cup of coffee while leaving the car on and when I came back outside, my GPS unit had come back to life and everything was working perfectly.
I then ejected the DVD with the LOADING.KWI file and inserted my Old Navigation DVD.
I'm sorry for the long post but wanted to make it as detailed as possible.
Again, this fixed my 50 51 error.
Hope it helps
Andy

HI,
I have bought a Jaguar x-Type 2.0D over a year ago. The only Problem that accused were in the Motor. And then i went into the sub Menu and activated by accident the Update function now my screen is black. I went to a Jaguar dealer and they said that there isn't a data exchange with the DVD Player and the Nav. So now im trying to find a new DVD player for my Car which brings me to my Question. Which of the DVD players can I build in? Only Jaguar ones or from any OTHER manufactures?
If any one can knows where to get one or how much one would cause you would help me a lot and save my *** a lot of cost at the Dealership.
Thx in advance!

DVD Player
I have an X-Type from the Year 2006. And I recently managed to get my Hands on the Sub Menu and start an Update on the Nav. Now my screen is black and the LCD display shows me the error code 50 51. I went to the dealer and they told me that there isn't a data exchange between the DVD player and the Nav in the cabin. So i would like to know if I can use a DVD player from a Nother Manufacturer (Which one?) and put it in my Car or if I have to use an original one from Jaguar?
And if anyone knows where to get one it would be perfect and helping me save a bunch of Money.
Kind Regards

Hey Andy, Why does this keep prompting me for “please insert the last disk of the Multi-Volume set”?
Do you have the KWI unzipped you could post?
Thanks,
Brian

Hi Brian, is this your PC asking this question or your car ? The unzipped file is only 7.04 mb in size.

The issue appears to be your end as I had no trouble unzipping it. Also it's been used by a few people now successfully. The file does not carry a valid extension for this site (hence the original .zip file) so I'm posting a link to the unzipped file in my Dropbox. This will be available for 24 hours. Let us know how it goes.

You are probably correct. Win 11 probably hosed something. Thank you for the link and I will let you know.
Brian.
