Sat Nav software reprogram file - for error 50 + 51 JTP 1072_1

Thanks
Hello Everyone,
I recently purchased an updated Jaguar GPS DVD from eBay and after a few attempts at installing it, I also go the 50 51 error. I like many of you called everyone and searched online for countless hours looking for a quick and inexpensive fix.
I decided to look through the updated DVD disk and simply extract the LOADING.KWI file and burn it to a regular DVD-R disk and put it into the unit, what's the worst that could happen.
After being quoted almost $4300 from Jaguar to fix the unit, and another $2100 from a Jaguar specialist. I am extremely happy to report that a $.15 DVD-R fixed my issue.
I am attaching the LOADING.KWI file to this post in case anyone else has this issue.
Simply extract the LOADING.KWI file from the ZIP file and burn it onto a REGULAR BLANK DVD-R at the slowest your DVD will allow, mine was 4x. Make sure that you "FINALIZE" the DVD (at least in my program that's what it's called).
I turned the car on to eject the DVD that was in the unit and inserted the DVD that I just burned with only the LOADING.KWI file.
I then turned the car off and took the key out for about 30 seconds and turned the car back on and left it on.
I went to go make myself a cup of coffee while leaving the car on and when I came back outside, my GPS unit had come back to life and everything was working perfectly.
I then ejected the DVD with the LOADING.KWI file and inserted my Old Navigation DVD.
I'm sorry for the long post but wanted to make it as detailed as possible.
Again, this fixed my 50 51 error.
Hope it helps
Andy

Works like a charm
So guys, i tried this method and fixed the 50 51 error. the trick is to make the DVD correct. I used a DVD-R disc and must be finalized for no further writing to. To make sure it actually works, when you pop in the DVD, you must here it spin. made 2-3 discs but they wouldnt spin when inserted. so made with various dvd writing software. then when i poped in the last dvd, it span for 2-3 minutes and the Nav screen turned back on. it does take 3-4 minutes from the time you pop in the dvd for the screen to come to life. be patient

I have bought 2002 S-Type R with a blank navigation screen and EXT 50 51 error. The previous owner put inside the newer version DVD downloaded from the internet and tried to do a software update and then everything freezed.
I have tried two different LOADING.KWI files 7 MB one from this thread and 103 MB one from X-Type thread, burned at 4x with Nero Burning Rom on DVD-R and off-couse I finished DVD, but nothing seems to work.
The navigation screen itself works - I managed to get to the hidden test menu, the DVD unit also works, you can hear the inserted DVD spinning. I checked fuse #27 and #29, everything OK. I think it can not be the hardware problem but the software.
Does anybody have the Jaguar SW update file?
My email is makete.tovornjakov@gmail.com

Hello,
@JagV8 it looks that you were right. Today I pulled out the DVD unit from crashed 2002 X-Type connected it and it woooorks!
The problem now is the radio code. I have the Security Radio Code card in my service book, but it doesn't work - it says that the code is wrong... Is it possible that I need a code from the DVD unit I pulled out from X-Type? The owner didn't have a radio code but I have the VIN number.
How can I find out the code, interet, official service?
Thanks for your help!

Try this thanks to police66 http://api.viglink.com/api/click?for..._Generator.exe
apparently you need to input the last 6 numbers of the radio serial number and it generates a code.
Let us know how you get on.
