perhaps yes...... if I could finish....too bad I cannot move the sc tensioner...either i am doing it wrong , or, it no longer has an play... first off, it is next to impossible to put any type of wench on the bolt...literally zero room. I had only one option of a 1/4 drive ratchet and a bar over the handle but to no avail, it will not move. so... I have it all apart and cant put the new belt on.

Major bummer...a belts one thing but I cant see doing a new tensioner without a lift...and more patience/time which I dont have right now now I will need to go to the shop, which is what I wanted to avoid of course.

its a belt, its elementary... I have had 10 sc cars and have done every pulley and belt...no issue ever.

something is unusual here...something I have never come across or not been able to do in 25 years.

always the first time!

figured it out after further study....a 1/2 drive adapter fits into the square recess perfect(like a design!!) with a bar and it will move.....interestingly, i looked at the tensioner for the main serpentine belt and it is a 3/8 square adapter that moves that one.

really interesting how that turned out

The 1/2" was desigend for that, you can buy a special tool for it from Jaguar, or save a furtune and make one yourself.
