Default Shift lock solenoid. . . . .

Are there any connections between the steering wheel and the shift lock solenoid? I just noticed the radio controls on the steering wheel were not working. Wondering if there's some connection there. My shift lock selenoid quit working a month ago and I've just been using the bypass. Brake lights work, but the "click" when applying the brake is no longer heard. Where to start? Replace the two switches at the brake pedal? Replace the solenoid? Is that possible, or do I have to replace the whole j-gate assembly?

Look hard at the elec guide / work through JTIS (free download). About all you'll need is a meter and tools to take things off for access.

The problem with the electrical guide is that you need to know the MY.

I hate mystery cars.

2002 per your signature (Model Year; not always the same as "Year Built")

If you go here you can put your vin number in and it will tell you the actual build year etc of your car
