small problem, big problem and a Hagerty's question
Karl
No updates yet. Busy work schedule and my relative inexperience with the system would make a conversation with the shop difficult to be productive, It will happen if for no other reason to better understand how they left it.
I took the car on its first long highway ride, 2hours each way. Bent rear rims create unwanted vibration and I got those changed out today so car is smooth now at any speed.
But on the trip it rained and so I had to manage the A/c to de fog the windscreen. I did not have my thermometers but I observed -
forgive the general temp terms here -
1. When I first turned on the A/C I turned the temp to LO, defrost mode, and the air was a little cool. I put the temp to "61" and the temp slowly rose to 69 whereupon I turned it off as the screen was clear.
2. When I put the system in defrost/dash vent mode the defrost was still cool but the temp out of the dash vents was HOT. In addition, hot air also constantly leaked from the footwell vents.
3. It also seems that the hottest air from the dash vents is on the drivers side, especially the far left window vent.
4. All other settings the air blows hot no matter the set temp.
That's it so far.
Thanks
Mike D.
