Exclamation Steering rack wanted

I know this is not a 'wanted' section but I figure it will get more views here. I need a steering rack and pinion. Anybody have one? Thanks.

You sure? They don't exactly seem to fail much (if at all).

If you do some searching you will find the Lincoln LS has the same rack and it's much cheaper. I think it was someone with a 2005 STR but please verify!

The steering gets stiff in spots and when you sit still and turn the wheel it moves fine but not when moved quickly or while driving. I had a mechanic drive it and he thinks the same thing. Yea a rebuilt one from the auto parts store was $716. I'm trying that ebay one first. At least I wont be out much. I looked into the lincoln fitment at first but couldnt figure it out for sure. I'm new to this Jag stuff. Thanks guys.

I'm stationed at Seymour Johnson Air Force Base in Goldsboro. How difficult are they? I've done shocks, struts, springs, and stuff like that but all on my Cobra. I'm not the most familiar with this car? Is it pretty straightforward?

$700+ after the core is returned. Ouch.
