I have finally finished my ground up rebuild
After my original str was hit in the rear at a red traffic light
Insurance company wrote the vehicle off but I had the option to get car back for less of a payout
which I did
I was lucky enough to find a str that had a blowing engine and transmission had been playing up
So let the fun begin
i was lucky enough work gave me a work bay to use thank God for car hoists
lucky i had my brother to help he had to make one good diff out of two as my original one was cracked
had a friend who offered to rebuild my transmission
We also rebuilt engine new rings oil pump timing ect and did supercharger new radiator ect
I thought it would take 12 months but only took 7 months
would i do it again

The supercharged S-Type R (Jaguar STR for short)

 

i was at a british car show, i asked what the R ment, on one could tell me, i still don't know

R for Jaguar is like M for BMW or AMG is for MB. It's how they label the performance versions of the standard car. Sometimes people claim it stands for race but who knows if it means anything?

You have a rare RHD STR with that two tone black and red leather interior. I have only seen pictures of that and it also was available in black and white.

Everything was from my original car
hard job getting the new body from the wreckers they didn't want to sell it but got there in the end
