stuck in Park mode

jag is damaged in front...driving around for 4-5 days... parked for 3 days in the rain...leak in sunroof... will not shift out of park...how do you release the transmission lock in park...thanks john:

Locked in park?

But . . .for an 03 4.2L V8? Not my poison and away from my references. John; pls check which trans? linkages and/or pawl block - nylon? metal refit? Then post back.
