Default Swap non-nav headunit for nav screen?

Hi, just joined but lurking for a while.. Im pretty sure the answers no but would like confirmation. Ive got the non-nav cd player unit in my 07 s-type, and would like to swap it out for the nav screen unit? Not because I want the Nav function (my phone does that) but just because it looks better, and the touch screen controls would be neat. But, I think the display screen connections on the back are different arent they? And thus a simple swap is not possible? Am I correct? Cheers 😊

I swapped mine a couple years ago, thanks to a member on the UK FORUM, jostaffs. He made me a wire harness and it allows the unit to be completely functional. I'm not sure if he is still making them though, but you can try contacting him.

Thanks for that, so it is indeed doable simply using correctly fettled plugs and cables. Nice... Will keep working toward it now, cheers 😊 Does anybody else have advice for how to DIY the connections?
