trouble with speedometer not working

Default trouble with speedometer not working
My speedo works sometime and sometime it does not, also i have to disconnect my battery cable after turning my car off because my headlights will start blinking and will kill my battery. any help please?

Make sure you don't have any water or damp in the rear (where the battery, fuse box etc are).

Nope, all dry..Could it have anything to do with the ECU or something else. I just started happing all of a sudden while I was driving. But somedays its back to normal as if nothing is wrong...iam stumped!!!

There are about a dozen ECUs. I'm not sure whether the same one controls the headlights and speedo but I doubt it. If you can read electrical diagrams get hold of jtis.
