Default water leaks

down in Houston we have had rain for a week now :| after todays round the rear passenger floor is soaking wet with standing water, took the seat bottom out and the side bolster both are wet esp. the bolster i could have wrung it out also the seat belt is drenched, after parking the car on my driveway (decent incline) water is leaking out the passenger side under the car ( roughly under the front seat best guess)the trim panel covering the rear seat belt is wet on the back side also but the trunk is bone dry. anyone have an idea what could cause this problem maybe a drain or???? the interior door panel and window show no signs of leakage either although the sound insulation under the back seat looks like pulp now . any help or ideas would be greatly appreciated

Thank You!!!!!

Several posts about this - worth checking out for how to detect & fix etc.

Check your sunroof drain hoses - there are 4, which run through the different pillars. The hose could be completely off the drain on the sunroof, pinched, collapsed or clogged with debris.

Search the forum - there are some good write up's on this topic.

Since the bolster is wet too, I agree with the sunroof drain.
For what its worth.

Had the same problem with my 2003 S-type. To cut to the chase, water was getting in around the driver's door handle trim, flooding the sill, then running back to the rear floor pan on the driver's side. Haven't had a chance to replace the seal around the driver's door handle so when rain threatens I have been taping a bit of plastic sheeting above the trim; it extends downwards to just below the handle and is left open at the bottom so I can still open the door. Not too classy looking but 100% effective.

Thanks all, found a few issues, the pass. rear door seals are a bit torn, went through the JEPC if there was a seal it is now going to be replaced as a few of the others were starting to look in poor shape, strange as i rarely have passengers. The roof drain was plugged up on that side and cracked on the exterior portion of the drain tube, I have ordered both rear ones and removed the debris. hopefully this will not happen again any time soon
