Forced to sell now, i just cant keep it. It has 46k miles on it, and no issues at all. I have already fixed pretty much everything it needed. If your in So-Cal i can show it pretty much anytime.

Im just sad at this point. If you know of anyone that may be looking for one, let me know. It has been an awesome car, and i would prefer if someone on here would get it. I really want someone who will appreciate the car to own it. If you know what i mean. Ohhhh yeah i forgot to add, that the warranty is transferable and it is good until 90000 miles on the odometer or 4 years whichever comes first.

ehhhh its been rough. Thank you though. This is basically all i have left at this point. I really dont want to sell it, but i just dont have much of a choice. It is current in payments for those that might be wondering. Its just gonna be too much for me to do over the course of the next several months. I can work out shipping arrangements if need be too.

I'm actually really pissed about my car and will actually talk with my dealer about yours.. That may be a plan.. Post some recent pictures...

Oh no! I'm so sad for you. I'd hate to part with my STR.
I hope you at least get a good price for it.

Best wishes, Jason. If it makes you feel any better, just keep in mind that your financial future is always far more important than any automobile, even one that you love and pamper. I hope things improve for you quickly....

It's a terrible thing when a man has to lose his car. At least it will be free from faults for the next owner -- here's wishing you get serious inquiries right away, and a rapid sale.

Hey Jason, here is the listing fees off of Ebay's site...Looks like a flat fee of $125.00 if it sells..

http://pages.ebay.com/help/sell/motorfees.html

And, no problem. No need to vent here, feel free to PM me if you wish..

now im not saying i havent tested the power, however i am an adult and i appreciate the car. What i can tell you is that i average 24 mpg mostly highway. That should tell you how i really drive it. Every now and then i still make sure the supercharger works. And yep.....it sure does.

i guess 125.00 isnt bad. Logistically though, i cant see selling on Ebay being as easy as i think. I mean we arent talking about something i can throw in a box and ship.

And on nothing but highway, i usually see 27-28 mpg. It still boggles my mind as to how it gets that still.

light foot, and a good fuel/02 trim, it sounds like its running as efficiently as it did from the manufacturer rollout date.

Are you sure there's no way you can swing keeping it? w/o going into too much personal detail as you are comfortable providing, is it the car you can't afford to keep, or you have no other option but to sell it to get the $17k? ... say you have to split its value with another person...

A fresh perspective may help with some out-of-the box ideas, especially if someone around here has some financial background to lend options.

I'm not trying to speak on Jason's behalf here, and I really have no knowledge of his personal situation, however it seems as though he's selling it to get rid of the monthly payment obligation, rather than to net cash, as he's willing to let it go for what the outstanding balance on the note is, or have another buyer assume the monthly payment and take the car.

Jason, this sucks, and I wish you the best with everything.. I'd take a peek if the car was still on the East Coast.

George

i am making nothing by selling it at that price, and George pretty much summed it up. I can go about 6 more months before i will have to start biting my nails. I dont even want any money if someone was to assume the payments. I have had it since jan 09. i paid an extra 3 grand for the warranty on top of the car. I put 700ish into the rear brake rotors, pads, and emergency brake pads and with labor(about 500 miles ago). I have fixed everything i could find to fix on it. Last thing that i still have to do is reset the auto headlights. Other than that, thats it. I hand adjusted them to where they are spread evenly and actually look better than when the motors were adjusting them.
