Default The wonderful limp mode today.

so we got a couple inches of smow, car was in the driveway, did not drive for a day and went to clear off snow which was melting. There was plenty left between the hood and windshied(bad decision) and my wife left and drove 5 miles and parked. When she came back 4-5 hrs later....limp mode....

This scenario really lends itself to the throttle body connector moisture issue dont you agree?

I picked her up but before hand I disconnected the negtive battery(just in case it resets) cable... now im heading back with a blow dryer...hope its as simple as that!!

Moisture + TPS = Limp Mode I've been there, done that.

I don't know if I'd try to dry it out with a blow dryer. It may do more harm than good.

As far as keeping moisture out; loosen up the plastic cowl under the windshield and run a bead of silicon between the cowl and the windshield. Also make sure all the screws holding the cowl in place are water tight.

Glad you got it resolved. Would you be willing to add your name to the list of members with scanners who would be willing to scan other member's cars for them?

Take care,
