It was a sad day today...i crashed my car to another car today, and my Jag got couple dents and paint cracked, is it possible to fix this? If it is, can you please help me, thanks already!
Fixable, definitely.
How and how much will vary according to the condition under the paint, how much you want to spend, the condition if the rest of the car and where you are.
Some more info on whereabouts would be useful in getting some more responses.
I saw way worse in college and it came out looking Wonderful.
Just because it's an old car doesn't mean it's not fixable no matter what anyone tells you. But if your insurance doesn't cover this for whatever reason, you should be prepared to part with some long green to get it properly washed and ironed.
I would have thought that the simplest fix would be a replacement panel from a wrecker's yard. If your car is still in its original paint you may get lucky and find a match.
The fender (wing) is just bolted on and fairly simple to replace for someone at all handy. Having just taken these off my project, some of the bolts are difficult, but not impossible, to remove. You could probably replace it in about half a day.
Yeah, a couple of thoughts. One would be to ask where you are.
1, In the USA we have "dent doctors". Their tools and skills are directed to minor scrapes and bruises. The pictures indicate this might be within their skills. Paint touchup is included.
2. If you remove the out board head light, you might be able to
push pry that "low" spot back in to alignment with the rest of the wing. The issue is how much the metal was "stretched". Shrinking is
a way to solve that, but the paint suffers!!!
Same comments for the other part.
3. I conclude that you chose not to buy "collision" insurance that would cover the damage to your car. With a deductible, though!!!
4. Swap out the fender aka wing!!! As stated, with luck, with one of the same color!!!
On the damaged one, do as the pro's do. Cut the metal away to reveal the fasteners, on the damaged one, of course. If it is a pik an pull yard, you'll work hard to get the wing off sans damage.
5. OTH, other listers have recovered from far worse !!!
