Mesh deflector works OK (particularly with windows up), but it does reduce rear visibility (in rear-view mirror) some. Hard to tell if it's a police cruiser in the distance behind you...
just press down on the accelerator until there is nothing left in the rear-view mirror! ;-)
QUOTE=JD83;1675005]I just ordered the clear one on Amazon (not sure its the same as the ebay unit.)
Will report back on the quality.
The mesh one is in the trunk- unused thus far

So They do creak, you need a thin piece of black rubber jammed under the Center And that stops All noise, i contacted the seller and he is going to add a bit of rubber channel so you might get that anyway, I put it in the other thread about how I fixed mine

Thank you for the tip!
That would be pretty cool if they include a rubber piece as a result of our form testing and communicating about their product and how to improve it.
Finally got my real tempered glass. Way better than plexiglass. No flex. I had the plexiglass from eBay and it was distracting. Took it to a glass shop and had them make same shape in tempered glass. $118.

I know this is an old conversation, but I love this idea. However, my glass shop looked at me like I had two heads when I asked for a tempered glass deflector. Do you have a pic of what your glass looks like out of the car? Did they follow the contours or is it a straight cut?
Just bring the mesh to the glass shop. The outer outline (shape) needs to be the same.
You could always trace your mesh screen onto a cardboard box. THEN you could say you used CAD to make yours. In your case, that would mean Cardboard Aided Design.

Ha... The cardboard would be hard to see through .... I think it's time for me to find a new glass shop.

Might be they are thinking you want them to cut tempered glass- which is designed to shatter instead of cut.... so you need to ask them to cut regular glass to match the windscreen shape, and THEN temper it.
somehow my shop pulled it off, so I think you might try another shop. Good luck! I still love mine.
Well.... after a couple of stops at other locations with no luck I found a shop who simply said - "Sure". They traced the template and away we go. It will be a couple of weeks so fingers crossed. A oddly difficult process for something that seems very straightforward.
I finally got the tempered glass wind deflector today and it looks fantastic. I could not be happier. Now I need to have the temps get out to the 30F degree range.
