Default 1999 XJ8 Repair/Service Manual

I have seen several repair/service manuals available on Ebay, etc. for the 1999 Jaguar XJ8. Which one is the best? I only want to do this once if possible. If I need more than one, that is fine as well.
Any input or help is greatly greatly appreciated.
Thank You!

There is only one. The Jaguar Technical Information System (JTIS) is the only tech manual ever produced and only digitally. No paper edition was produced other than printing what was in JTIS. Several others add comments/diagnosis to that.

JTIS is available FREE as a download in the sticky above thanks to Jim Lombardi.

. . . and welcome to the forum!

Yes, in the case of Jaguars, there are no 10-pound thick books. The downside of the JTIS is that it is not as detailed as one might hope for. For that reason, it is always good to search through this forum for other people who have experienced your particular problems.

I read about the digital JTIS. I can't seem to find the sticky to get the free download. Can you direct me?

I have the JTIS downloaded and find that it really is not that good. Looked for information on my sunroof and the information was so bad that it just did not help. I looked again for information on the front steering as I seen a bad rust place in that area (I think) and there is nothing for that at all. If anyone has any information on the factory Jaguar manuals I would be interested. I would prefer a hard copy but if that is not available I will use the computer copy. I am just looking for a better copy of information than the JTIS information.

JTIS information on ZF power steering:
https://www.jaguarforums.com/forum/a...ing-system-pdf

This PDF information was extracted from the JTIS21 software.

The JTIS is NOT for DIYers. The info is for factory trained mechanics that have ALSO been to Jaguar Training classes for the various subsystems on the various car models.

Jaguar mechanics also have access to TSBs and Jaguar Technical Hotline.

This forum exists and is popular because the people here share the experience and knowledge gained from Jaguar Training and/or trial and error.

You can spend HOURS reading 'stickys', POSTS, uploaded TSBs and GUIDES
to get answers to almost any repair questions. Research takes time and can be tedious unless you are passionate about Jaguar Repair.

Here are 4 TSB PDF files (Technical Service Bulletins) on Sliding Roof (sunroof):

https://www.dropbox.com/s/hreg6uhcx0...20Repair.pdf?m

https://www.dropbox.com/s/auw4imesio...peration.pdf?m

https://www.dropbox.com/s/4azq3dmt7r...echanism.pdf?m

https://www.dropbox.com/s/62j1d9i9sa...g%20Tool.pdf?m

Appears to be a problem with displaying the PDF files in dropbox, so use the Download button, then the Direct Download menu option, then in popup choose open.

Hi.

Just recently brought a XF (2008, V6, 3.0L). Am wondering if anyone have the service workshop manual.

If yes, can share the link (or email to webasiayi AT yahoo.com.sg).

Many thank, and looking forward to enjoying the XF in many years to come.

thanks.

Try this website link for workshop PDF download ($12.11) 3459 pages (cover page says - 2008 to 2009 XF X250 - vin R00019 to R47154):

XF XFR Workshop Manual [Jaguar XF XFR X250]

I have purchased other PDF downloads from their website without any issues.

Here are others that are sold on the internet that maybe PDF formatted files or computed installed program files and are usually sold on EBAY but most of them are CDs or DVDs and not downloads.

There is a Jaguar Electronic Parts Catalog software that appears to cover XF X250 from 2008 to ????:

Look at post# 54 in the EPC thread - here is it's weblink:

https://www.jaguarforums.com/forum/x...uctions-48194/

You can a lot of the part numbers for your Jaguar XF X250 at Just Jags UK website - here is the weblink to the XF main webpage:

Hi Jim. Just downloaded the manual on my computer, worked great. Have it on an old computer in the garage as well (from the CD). Just wanted to thank you out loud for your work.
