Default NORMA hose connector removal

I have been looking at the large"norma" connector on the octopus hose and trying to figure out how to remove it. I have looked at several old posts but I am still not clear.
Is it some sort of push/pull method?
THanks

I just blow it with some compressed air to remove any grit or debris from the connection.
Then I spray with silicon aerosol to lube it.
Push the outer most ring back against the plastic towards the rubber hose.
Grab the assy and twist to break it free if it is stuck on the metal pipe.
I use a heat gun and gloves if it is still stuck and with pulling and twisting it will release!

I just used a screwdriver to pry it up and break it in several places until I got it off. I was replacing the octopus hose, so no reason to be delicate.

Breaking the plastic 'fingers' works when you have no intention of reusing the connector.
Try not to scrape the metal pipe too much or the 'O'ring seal will leak.
